Job Title: Warehousing and Distribution Pharmacist

Job Summary:
We seek a detail-oriented Warehouse and Distribution Pharmacist to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will oversee pharmaceutical products’ storage, distribution, and inventory while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This role requires excellent organizational skills, a deep understanding of pharmaceutical standards, and a commitment to maintaining the highest level of product quality and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Pharmaceutical Storage and Inventory Management:
- Monitor the storage conditions of pharmaceutical products to ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards.
- Manage inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock availability while minimizing expiration and waste.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
2. Order Fulfilment and Distribution:
- Oversee the fulfilment of orders, ensuring that products are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time.
- Work closely with logistics partners to ensure the efficient and safe delivery of products to various locations.
- Validate shipping documents, maintain records of all dispatched products, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
3. Regulatory Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that all activities related to the storage, handling, and distribution of pharmaceuticals comply with relevant local and international regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all pharmaceutical inventory and distribution activities.
- Perform quality checks and ensure that pharmaceutical products are stored, handled, and distributed under applicable guidelines.
4. Collaboration and Communication:
- Liaise with regulatory authorities and ensure that the warehouse operates in full compliance with regulatory standards.
- Provide guidance and training to warehouse staff on the handling and storage of pharmaceuticals.
- Reports directly to the line manager
5. Health and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols within the facility, promoting a safe working environment.
- Conduct safety audits and take necessary corrective actions to maintain safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (BPharm).
- Valid pharmacist license
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution role, preferably within the pharmaceutical or hospitality industry.
- Knowledge of Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and basic computer applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in cold chain management.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for controlled substances.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for the storage of specimens and biological substances
Working Conditions:
- This position may require standing for extended periods, working long hours and lifting/moving products.
- Temperature-controlled environments for handling specific products.
