Health and Wellness: We provide access to essential healthcare services, nutrition programs, and health education, particularly for vulnerable populations.
Learning and Skills Development: Our education programs aim to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills to pursue better opportunities. We also support vocational training and entrepreneurship.
Livelihood and Economic Empowerment: We help communities build sustainable livelihoods through microfinance, agricultural support, and small business development.
Advocacy and Policy Influence: We advocate for inclusive policies that protect and promote the rights of the underprivileged, ensuring that their voices are heard in decision-making processes.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for Volunteers at WIMROF. Volunteers will be responsible for supporting various activities related to health, education, and livelihood initiatives, working directly with the communities we serve in Kano.
The volunteers will provide technical and administrative support to the following departments:
- Data Collection Officer
- Program Support Officer
- Field Officer
- Photography
- Video Editing Officer
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Empathy and compassion towards vulnerable populations
- Fluency in local languages spoken in Kano
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment
- BSc, HND, NCE or any other basic qualifications equivalent in relevance to developmental studies.
- Computer literacy is an advantage
