UNIT MANAGERS (3)

Location: KITUI, MACHAKOS & MAKUENI

The role holder will be responsible for providing overall leadership to the unit office, ensuring key performance indicators and targets for the unit are met.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate sales activities, events and programs within the unit office.
  • Assist in conducting trainings on company products, processes, sales and soft skills to achieve results.
  • Conduct field training with sales representatives to ensure hands on approach to sales.
  • Performance management and supervision of the unit office operations.
  • Provide one-to-one coaching, mentoring and motivation to members of their teams and ensure that they effectively implement strategies and agreed action plans.
  • Market segmentation and opening of markets for sales representatives to secure business within the region.
  • Meeting and exceeding the sales targets.
  • Providing effective customer service to both prospective and existing customers.
  • Preparing sales and other management reports as required from time to time.
  • Manage office assets and inventory at the unit level.

Working Relationships

1. Internal Relationships:

  • Accountable to the regional Manager
  • Required to liaise and work closely with the other departments such as training, sales managers

2. External Relationships:

  • Kupa-Kenya customers

Knowledge, experience and qualifications required:

  • A business related degree is a minimum requirement or its equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Life Insurance
  • Unit Management is an added advantage
  • Relevant professional qualification in Insurance, any relevant certification will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Above average computer skills
