Title: UI/UX Developer
Salary Grade: Grade D
Reports to: Senior Software Programmer- Front End
Work Station: Future Link Technologies Ltd (FLT), Plot 97, Bukoto Street, Kampala

Purpose of the position
The front-end developer is responsible for developing user interfaces based on the APIs they develop and also optimize the performance of applications
Key Responsibilities:
Design and create prototypes for new/existing User Interfaces for web and mobile apps
•Use Vuejs framework to develop User Interfaces based on the created prototypes and APIs
•Write unit tests for front-end functionality
•Maintain company websites and implement any necessary additions or enhancements as required
•Collaborate with members of the development team to consistently improve functionality and user experience of web applications
•Maintain updated knowledge of the development industry and any advancements in technology

Qualifications:
•BSc degree in Computer Science or relevant field
•Solid grasp of HTML, CSS, JavaScript,bootstrap
•Flexibility to adapt to changing instructions and requirements
•Familiarity with browser testing and debugging
•Familiarity with software like Photoshop,Adobe XD,Sketch,Figma

Proficiency in the use of computer programs for:
• Software Programming
• Computer Networking
• Database Administration

 

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and the hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend work.

Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
