GTN TV under GCTC Media Group wishes to recruit qualified individuals for the position of TV News Correspondents in; Murang’a, Kiambu, Kirinyaga, Embu, and Nairobi
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Ability to shoot visual content, report, write, edit, and produce news stories
- Pitching and generating ideas for news stories and news features
- Research, plan, and develop on-air content, ideas, and concepts
- Writing scripts for bulletins, headlines, and special reports
- Following leads from news agencies, the police, the public, press conferences, and other sources
- Participate in field assignments to provide a news package/Live link
- Good interviewing skills
- Covering news stories whose facts are credible, and factual
- Perform any other editorial duties assigned by the News Editor
REQUIREMENTS
- A Degree/Diploma in Journalism/Communication Studies or any other related field
- At least 3 years experience in a busy newsroom
- Good command of Kikuyu, and Kiswahili languages both written and spoken
- Attach a 2min video demo in reporting
- Updated with current affairs
- Audio and Video editing skills
- Ability to work and submit assignments on time
- Understanding of the Journalistic Code of Ethics and Conduct
