We are looking for highly engaged candidate with a track record of excellence to fill the following position:

Treasury Accountant

This position is responsible for corporate liquidicy, investments and risk management related to the company financial activities.

Reporting to the Manager, Treasury & SAP Support the successful candidate will be responsible for the following functions:

  • Forecast cash flow position, related borrowing needs and available funds for investment.
  • Invest funds as per treasury policy.
  • Monitor liquidity requirements and foreign exchange exposure in major currencies.
  • Manage foreign exchange exposure and prepare reports for management action.
  • Review dealer financial statements to evaluate working capital requirements and advice credit control.
  • Ensure monthly interest and foreign exchange forecasting.
  • Manage banking relationships.
  • Ensure timely and prudent management of Documents Against Acceptance, payments process.
  • Facilitate issuance and cancellation of bank guarantees and Letters of Credit.
  • Ensure sufficiency of dealer credit cover.
  • Updace ERP system with spot rates prevailing daily to allow correct cranslation of assets and Liabilities.
  • Ensure proper funding of accounts in liaison with payables and receivables.
  • Ensure proper management of cash in accounts in strict guidelines of the policy and allocated limits.
  • Ensure smooth end month closing and reporting processes.
  • Prepare monthly counterparty exposure report.
  • Responsible for developing, motivating and evaluation of all direct reports.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies and internal control procedures.
  • Daily cash analysis report.
  • Process credit cards for approved employees.

For appointment to this position, the successful candidate must have the following minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or related discipline.
  • Five years of working experience.
  • KCSE Mean Grade B+.
  • CPA(K), ACCA or equivalent.
  • Good in analytical skills, attention to detail, financial statistics & accounting principles, statutory legislation and regulations.
