Title: Training & Audit Manager

Reports to: Head Of Human Resources & Development

Based at: Even Business Park, PO Box 10719-01000, Nairobi, Kenya

Job Purpose:

The Training & Audit Manager will be responsible for ensuring that in conjunction with the Head Of Human Resources & Development all staff are trained to the required level to facilitate and support the provision of effective service delivery of back office support services to our global offices.

In addition, the Training & Audit manager will ensure that the implementation of health and safety policies, fire evacuation drills, and ISO 9001:2015 internal audits are facilitated alongside the departmental management.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Day to Day training of the team, to ensure that both departmental and individual pre-defined targets are achieved, processes are followed and high-quality standards of service are delivered.

• Motivate and the team members to ensure that the departments are being utilized effectively and to the greatest benefit.

• In conjunction with Product Managers ensure that all team members are sufficiently trained so that all duties and tasks from our global operation can be covered effectively every day to the service levels expected.

• Provide assistance, advice, and support to the wider team ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner.

• Monitoring standards of work across the office and various shifts to ensure that the team work within company and provision training as the need identifies.

• Supporting the Senior Management Team meet their legal and statutory obligations.

• Development, control, and maintenance of company training documentation, standard operating procedures, and workflows.

• Conduct OH&S internal audits to the requirements of ISO45001.

• Represent the company during internal and external OH&S audits.

• Ensuring that the OH&S management system conforms to the necessary requirements.

• Oversee and conclude all OH&S investigations, incidents, accidents, and near misses, and implementation of corrective actions.

• Keep up to date with changes in current legislation and to bring to the attention of the company any relevant new legislation.

 

• Ensure that all “assessments” as required by legislation are conducted and reviewed at relevant intervals and to maintain records of the same.

• Carry out investigations into all accidents and near-miss incidents and record the findings

• Identify new processes and procedures for the continual improvement of H&S and report these to the Senior Management Team for consideration

• Analysis of data to enhance service provisions.

• Oversee the implementation of new tasks and duties within the department.

• Assist with the recruitment and HR Management when required.

• Support the Senior Management Team with any other functions as required.

• Duty Management of the team day to day performance

• Ensuring KPI’s and service levels are met and maintained.

• Dealing via email correspondence with customers, suppliers, staff and management.

• The ability to work with, understand, motivate, and communicate with individuals and groups.

• Technical proficiency in methods, processes, procedures, and techniques.

• Demonstrate the ability to retain, motivate, coach and develop team members for high performance

• Ability to handle many tasks accurately and efficiently.
