Teller

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Receiving /paying cash and cheques across the counter
  • Adhere to teller transaction & cash holding limits at all times.
  • Filing all cashier’s/reserve/main summaries.
  • Filing all cashier’s payments/receipts related correspondences directed to you
  • Receiving and recording cheque deposits
  • Correct errors highlighted in the daily cash report.
  • Calling & checking other tellers’ daily vouchers against daily report
  • Collect all revenue due to the bank.
  • Cross selling bank products and referrals as per allocated targets
  • Exercise due diligence as per the procedures’ manual
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times
  • Any other duties that may be assigned.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • A university degree in relevant business discipline, any professional Qualification in General Banking is an added advantage.
  • Strong people management skills and thorough knowledge of banking products and services, including wider understanding of the general consumer banking universe.
  • Strong communications, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate staff.
  • Strong communications, negotiations, and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for Performance.
  • Self – Drive, Flexibility, Focus and attention to detail.
  • Open to New Ideas in a rapidly changing Business Environment
