Hurricane Global Facilities Management is an integrated Facilities Management company supporting individual, private and public entities to better manage their properties and workspace since 2013.
We are current recruiting for a Technical Coordinator Role on behalf of our client to be based in Nairobi Kenya.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Coordination of Repair Works:
- Oversee and coordinate MEP repair and maintenance activities at the head office, branches, and ATMs.
- Schedule and prioritize repair work to minimize disruption to banking operations.
- Ensure all MEP systems are functioning efficiently and comply with industry standards and regulations.
2. Supplier Management:
• Identify, select, and manage external suppliers and contractors for MEP repair works
. Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely completion of all repair and maintenance tasks
• Schedule Service review meeting on a quarterly basis to track supplier performance.
3. Team Management:
- Supervise a team of in-house technicians stationed at the head office.
- Provide training, support, and guidance to technicians to ensure high standards of work.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and manage technician schedules.
4. Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM):
- Develop and implement a comprehensive planned preventative maintenance schedule for all MEP systems.
- Ensure regular inspections, servicing, and maintenance of MEP systems to prevent breakdowns and extend their lifespan.
- Monitor the implementation of the PPM schedule
5. Reporting and Documentation:
• Maintain accurate records of all MEP activities, including maintenance schedules, repair logs, and supplier contracts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in MEP coordination, preferably in a banking or corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practice
