This role is key to providing administrative support and positively contributes to the delivery of our Marketing plans to meet our ambitious growth plans and transform to world class practices. The successful candidate will also provide administrative support to the Corporate Relations function to enable the function drive employer branding, manage internal and external stakeholders as well as embed our sustainability footprint.
The successful candidate will champion team engagements and culture within the functions they support.

East Africa Breweries Limited (EABL), one of the largest companies in East Africa, has extensive operations in Kenya including Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL) which produces, markets and sells alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in Kenya, and East African Maltings Limited (EAML) which sources raw materials for EABL’s business. EABL has subsidiaries in Uganda and Tanzania, as well as export operations in other markets in the region, and is a subsidiary of Diageo plc, the global alcoholic drinks company.
EABL is the largest business unit in Diageo Africa operating two spirits distilleries at Nairobi and Kampala, six breweries at Nairobi, Kisumu, Kampala, Moshi, Dar es Salaam and Mwanza and one malting plant in Nairobi – Industrial area.
Purpose of Role & Leadership Responsibilities
The Team assistant role is responsible for carrying out administrative duties for the team they support, champion team an engagement and culture withing the function. delivering This role manages a range of relationships with stakeholders across the region and globally.
The role has no direct reports.
Role Responsibilities
- Conduct administrative responsibilities and co-ordination of the Marketing function, corporate relations function, external stakeholders, agencies and global stakeholders. This includes diary management, meetings and events and travel support.
- General administrative support of the team such as records management and Gift and Entertainments, maintaining a contact and relations with internal and external stakeholders.
- Assisting in drafting, circulating and replying to various correspondence and responding to routine administrative queries both internal and external
- Facilitate resources required for meetings as well as ensuring all minutes and pre-reads are circulated beforehand.
- Stakeholder management- Ensuring all internal and External stakeholders of the function are well attended to.
- Budget Management: prepare and monitor the department’s budget and follow up to ensure that costs are charged to the correct Cost Centre in a timely manner.
- Champion team culture and engagement and collaboration within the functions you support through various team activities.
- Event Management- including identifying appropriate venues, making travel arrangements, accommodation bookings and hospitality for participants.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Experience Required
A business-related degree or equivalent.
Experience And Skill
- 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Strong commercial or marketing exposure and understanding.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent planning and organizing skills with ability to multi task.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly important for managing expectations with stakeholders and external partners.
