JOB SUMMARY

We are in search of a meticulous and well-organized Storekeeper to supervise the inventory and storage activities at our factory. This position requires ensuring the smooth handling of materials, maintaining precise records, and collaborating with different departments to ensure seamless operations. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the receiving, storage, and distribution of goods, with a focus on accuracy and compliance with quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Receive incoming packaging materials, and other supplies, verifying quantities and quality against delivery documents.
  2. Ensure proper storage of fruits and materials in designated areas, following FIFO (First In, First Out) and other storage guidelines to maintain product quality.
  3. Conduct regular inspections of stored items to identify any signs of damage, spoilage, or deterioration, taking appropriate action as needed.
  4. Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, stock movements, and transactions using manual or computerized inventory management systems.
  5. Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment orders in a timely manner to prevent stockouts and production delays.
  6. Coordinate with production supervisors to ensure that materials are available as per production schedules and requirements.
  7. Prepare and package fruits for production, ensuring correct labeling and documentation.
  8. Conduct periodic stock audits and cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  9. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the storage areas, adhering to sanitation and safety standards.
  10. Assist in the implementation of food safety and quality control measures, including proper handling and storage practices.
  11. Generate comprehensive reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and any discrepancies, providing insights for informed decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a storekeeper or warehouse assistant, preferably in a food processing or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles, stock control, and warehouse
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities to guide and motivate a team.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records and documentation related to
    Inventory management
  • Familiarity with safety and compliance standards associated with warehouse operations and material handling.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
