Stock Controller

Victoria Forest Resort Ltd invites applications from qualified Ugandans to fill the above stock controller position

Qualifications:

1. Bachelors Degree or UACE certificate

2. Previous experience in stock control, inventory management, or a related field is preferred.

3. Familiarity with inventory management software and systems.

Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

4. Knowledge of basic accounting principles and inventory valuation methods.

5. Good understanding of supply chain management concepts.

6. Excellent numerical and mathematical skills.

7. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

8. Ability to work well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

9. Physical ability to perform tasks that may involve heavy lifting and moving of stock

Responsibilities:

1. Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels by conducting daily stock counts and reconciling any discrepancies.

2. Coordinate with purchasing department to ensure timely and accurate replenishment of stock, avoiding stockouts and overstock situations.

3. Analyze sales trends, customer demand, and market conditions to forecast future inventory needs and make informed purchasing decisions.

4. Collaborate with sales team to understand customer demand and ensure that stock levels align with anticipated sales volumes.

5. Implement and maintain efficient inventory control procedures, including stock rotation, first-in-first-out (FIFO) principles, and proper storage practices.

6. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with inventory management policies and procedures
