Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in journalism/media studies or related field
- At least 2 years experience in journalism and writing sports content
- Passion for writing sports content (Knowledge of East Africa and Kenyan Sports is an added advantage)
- Impeccable communication and interviewing skills, both written and verbal
- Strategic and analytical thinker
- Ability to go the extra mile
- Self-driven individual with a strong desire to constantly learn and adapt
- Work under minimal supervision
- Ability to work remotely (good internet connection and a laptop, minimum Intel Core i3).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitoring trending sports stories
- Sourcing ideas for exclusive sports stories
- Sourcing comments from experts, entrepreneurs.
- Writing and publishing sports stories that resonate with our audience (including news articles, interviews, and feature articles about sports)
- Participating in all activities related to sports content direction
- Ability to churn out articles in perfect English.
