About the Role:
BURN is looking for a Software Quality Analyst, who will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products.
The individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain effective quality assurance processes and practices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Test Planning – Collaborate with development and product teams to create comprehensive test plans that align with project requirements
- Test Case Design and Execution – Design, develop, and execute test cases to verify software functionality, performance, reliability, and compatibility
- Defect Identification and Tracking – Identify, document, and track software defects using a bug-tracking system. Work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution
- Regression Testing – Conduct regression testing to validate that software changes have not adversely affected existing functionality
- Automated Testing – Develop and maintain automated test scripts to increase efficiency and test coverage
- Performance Testing – Perform performance testing to assess the scalability and responsiveness of software applications
- Collaboration – Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to ensure a shared understanding of project requirements
- Quality Metrics and Reporting – Monitor and report on key quality metrics, providing regular updates to project stakeholders
- Continuous Improvement – Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of best practices within the QA team
Skills and Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Software Quality Analyst or similar role.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
- Experience with manual and automated testing tools.
- Proficient in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Knowledge of performance testing and familiarity with tools like JMeter.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
