Job Title: Sociologist
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from an accredited institution
- Professional Membership with a relevant body will be an added advantage.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Sociologist on infrastructure development projects
- Practical experience in carrying out Social Impact Assessments/Social Surveys & audits, monitoring/supervision of social safeguards during construction phase, Resettlement Action Planning (RAP) & reporting.
- Knowledge of IFC performance standards, World Bank & AfDB social safeguard policies.
- Excellent people skills including interpersonal, organizational, communication & time management skills.
- Ability to work independently & take ownership of tasks including planning field tasks, drafting comprehensive reports, preparing bids & proposals as well as supporting in business development activities.
Role Profile
The Sociologist will support the organization in the implementation and monitoring of social safeguards on infrastructural projects. The successful candidate should be familiar with the IFC performance standards, World Bank Social Safeguards and AfDB safeguards policies
