SOCIAL MEDIA EXECUTIVE

Sarova Hotels is a leading hotel group in Kenya. We are looking for a creative Social Media Executive to join our dynamic team.

JOB SUMMARY

As a Social Media Executive, you will play a significant role in connecting with our target audience through innovative and engaging social media strategies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with Sarova Hotels’ overall marketing goals.
  • Identify and target key demographics and psychographics to tailor content accordingly.
  • Create engaging and visually appealing content, including text, images and videos.
  • Develop and manage a content calendar to ensure a consistent and timely posting schedule.
  • Collaborate with the marketing, creative teams, revenue team and unit heads to produce high quality content, manage social media pages and promote Sarova hotels.
  • Actively monitor social media channels, responding to comments, messages, and reviews in a timely and professional manner.
  • Build and nurture a strong online community by engaging with followers and encouraging participation.
  • Identify and address potential brand reputation issues promptly.
  • Utilize social media analytics tools to gain insights into audience behaviour and optimize content strategy.
  • Publish well curated social media content such as stories, reels, videos and posts.
  • Generate regular reports on social media performance and provide recommendations.
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media trends and industry best practices, including short-form video content trends on platforms like Reels, Stories, and TikTok.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of luxury hospitality and the ability to articulate luxury experiences through social media.
  • Creative and innovative mindset with a passion for storytelling and short-form video content.
  • Proven experience in social media marketing and community management, including proven experience with Reels, Stories, and TikTok.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Linkedin, TikTok, etc.) and their algorithms.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
