The key purpose of this role is to oversee the entire S&OP process, ensuring alignment between sales forecasts and operational capacity by managing demand planning and supply chain optimization, collaborating with commercial and supply chain departments to make optimize production and inventory decisions with the ultimate goal of delivering on service level at optimized costs with minimal risks to the business.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead S&OP cycle and meetings to discuss demand forecasts, supply constraints, and potential risks, coordinating input from cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with product development teams to integrate new product launches into the S&OP process.
- Implement and maintain adherence to the LCP processes linked to the S&OP process, SNP & IDP. In addition, support DPO on Planning Pillar blocks relating to SNP & IDP.
- Driving the SNP Monthly Business Cycle: Generating the monthly CONA (tactical horizon) production plan, distribution & inventory plans using Barnton /Excel/and/or other business software and SNP Weekly. In addition, production and logistics costing of the plans (VILC).
- SNP Yearly Business Cycle Budget/LE: Producing a fully optimized supply plan run with at least 16 months horizon (4 months of current year + 12 months of next yea r) using budgeted sales and supply parameters.
- Inventory Policy: Generating/updating, agreeing, implementing & tracking the finished goods Inventory Policy within agreed frequencies.
- Master data: Driving regular routines to keep master data up to date in the planning tool and regularly reviewing with relevant functions in the organization to ensure the data accuracy and integrity.
- Tracking and Monitoring: Identifying and problem-solving risks, constraints, scenarios, performance, trends, opportunities, and KPI management.
- Generate, optimize and control production plans across the production grid for the long, medium and short term capacity requirements.
- Management of manufacturing interface (schedules) and production planning to prevent stock outs and reduce working capital.
- Collaboration with in county MRP team to ensure the plan is optimized and risks are escalated on time.
- Works closely with Supply, and with Zone and BU Planning Teams in Demand, Materials, Stock , Containers and Footprint Planning.

Minimum Requirements:
- Relevant Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or Commerce.
- Preferably 3-5 years working experience.
- Proficient in data analysis, forecasting models and statistical models. Knowledge of linear programming/optimization analytics advantageous
- Experience of planning tools, techniques and accountabilities ranging from tactical planning, distribution and supplier management.
- Ability to influence and drive consensus across teams to achieve S&OP goals.
- Able to understand and interpret sales trends, manufacturing and distribution chains and to convert into appropriate production strategy.
- Understanding of financial implications of inventory management, production planning, and sales plans.
