
The site clerk will be accountable for handling construction materials and also help with day-to-day and monthly programming of work.
Duties and responsibilities
- To support the Construction Site Staff with administrative duties and site documentation
- Keeps records of all resources deployed to the site and their allocation (Labor, materials, equipment)
- Timely Placement of Orders to Maintain Inventory of Required Site Materials
- Documenting the daily work done
- Order and Maintain Office Supplies
Skills
- Broad knowledge of the construction industry covering materials, trades, building methods, and legal requirements
- Must be honest and reliable to the employer
- Good organizational and project management skills
- Observational skills – Keen to detail
- Excellent communication and negotiating skills
- Good written communication skills, for completing paperwork and compiling reports
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines;
- Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications. especially, Word & Excel
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Qualifications
- Diploma in construction-related field, administrative or accounting skills will be an added advantage
- Experience – at least 3 years in a construction environment handling similar works
