POSITION:

SERVICE ADVISOR

REPORTS TO:

SERVICE MANAGER

JOB PURPOSE:

The Service Advisor will act as the primary point of contact between our customers and service technicians.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet and consult with customers about their vehicle concerns
  • Assess the vehicle’s condition and advise on necessary services or repairs.
  • Prepare detailed repair orders with descriptions of problems, repairs needed, and associated costs.
  • Following up with customers’ quotations to ensure quick approval and closure.
  • Scheduling appointments appropriately with customers
  • Handle customer complaints professionally, resolving issues where possible.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

At a minimum, the Service Advisor should have the following Skills and abilities:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in automotive Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Experience in the automotive field is preferred.
  • Customer Service Skills: Strong customer service skills and the ability to explain complex technical issues in simple terms.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to handle customer complaints and resolve issues effectively.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and appointments.
  • Industry Knowledge: Up-to-date knowledge of automotive technologies and industry trends.
