Senior Medical Officer
Job Summary:
The Senior Medical Officer supports the Principal Medical Officer in managing clinical activities and supervises Medical Officers. This role involves direct patient care and operational oversight to ensure effective service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise Medical Officers and ensure their compliance with clinical duties.
• Conduct daily ward rounds and on-call rounds as scheduled.
• Assist in the review and management of complex cases.
• Provide guidance to Medical Officers on patient management and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
• Contribute to departmental meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
• Act as the lead on shifts during the absence of the Principal Medical Officer.
• Collaborate with the Medical Claims/Billing Unit to ensure accurate claims submission.
• Participate in performance reviews for junior staff, contributing insights for improvement.
Requirements:
• MBBS degree with 6-9 years of clinical experience.
• Proven ability to supervise and mentor junior medical staff.
• Strong clinical decision-making and communication skills.
