The role requires strong baking expertise, leadership, and creativity.
Minimum Requirements:
- Culinary degree with 3+ years of experience in a reputable hotel/restaurant.
- Expertise in artisan baking, pastry arts, and decorating.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
Responsibilities:
- Lead daily baking activities, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Develop and refine pastry, cake, and bakery recipes.
- Supervise and train junior bakers and apprentices.
- Maintain stock levels and reduce ingredient waste.
- Forecast demand to minimize unsold product waste.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
- Design seasonal menus and specialty items.
- Ensure bakery products meet Big Square’s brand standards.
