
Senior Accountant
Position Summary
The Senior Accountant will oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, compliance, inventory management, payroll, and strategic reporting. This position also serves as the primary financial liaison for department heads, supporting informed decision-making and maintaining financial health.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily transaction posting in QuickBooks to ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Conduct cost analysis for products, prepare unit costs, and propose pricing strategies.
- Monitor and manage project budgets to ensure expenditures align with approved amounts.
- Prepare and manage payroll, including accurate computation and submission of statutory deductions on time.
- Process and approve vendor payments through the banking system, ensuring all payments are well-documented.
- Perform weekly and monthly physical inventory counts and report results, including surprise checks as required.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, budget variance analysis, and production reports by the 5th of each month.
- Manage annual returns and calculate ROI to support company objectives.
- Prepare quarterly reports and present them to management for strategic review.
- Serve as the audit lead, coordinating with auditors to provide relevant documentation and ensure compliance.
- Review internal controls and make recommendations to optimize financial processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA/ACCA certification.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in accounting or finance management.
- Proficient in QuickBooks and Excel, with strong analytical and organizational skills.
