www.ambso.org is a ‘Private Not
for profit (PNFP) organization, with its Head offices at Nansana, along Hoima Road and satellite
offices in Hoima and Kalisizo in Kyotera district. AMBSO conducts a wide range of activities of
public health interest including clinical research, community-based health surveillance research;
programs for health care service delivery and capacity building for health care and community health
workers.
In a bid to support AMBSO activities, we are seeking to recruit committed and reliable persons to
execute the duties of security officers on a full-time basis. Applications are therefore invited from
interested persons to fill these positions.
1. Job Title: Security Officers – Full time (2 Position)
Location: AMBSO offices; Head Offices).
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Implement security activities at AMBSO while following security procedural SOPs.
• Build on-going networks for sharing security information and coordination.
• Support the organization in security crisis situations and critical incidents
• Carry out security risk assessments of the organization on a periodic basis and advise
management on the appropriate actions.
• Ensure that core security requirements are implemented in line with organizational risk ratings.
• Foster an effective office access control system for provision of easy access as well as ensure
minimized loss of property.
• To participate in initial investigations of security incidents and determine or advise management
on the appropriate action.
• Ensure proper maintenance, availability and functionality of security equipment for effective
execution of security activities.
• Enforce the implementation of displaying identity cards while on site.
• Manage and control car parking on site.
• Any duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• A minimum of O’ level certificate
• At least 2 (two) year’s security experience.
• A recommendation letter for the LC Chairperson
• A Valid National ID.
• Security Training is an added advantage
• Recommendation by a trusted AMBSO staff or ally is encouraged
• Ability to read and write English clearly.
