- Key Accountabilities 1. Ensure all security clearance requests are accurate
and complete, maintaining adherence to UN
Security Management System (UNSMS) standards
and WFP Security policies.
- Track and report compliance with security related
submission deadlines to ensure adherence to
operational requirements.
- Monitor and manage travel tracking systems,
ensuring compliance with established travel
windows and security protocols.
- Consolidate security related budget inputs from
Area and Field Offices to assist the Head of Security
in making informed financial decisions.
- Facilitate the procurement of security equipment
and maintain accurate tracking of assets to enhance
accountability and resource management.
- Apply a thorough understanding of UNSMS
standards and WFP Security policies to support the
implementation of security measures.
- Assist in the implementation of security operations
to ensure the safety and security of WFP staff,
assets, and operations.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required to
support the objectives of the Security Unit.
- Minimum
Qualifications And
experience.
Education: The ideal candidate for the United
Nations World Food Programme (WFP) Security
Intern job should hold a university degree in
International Relations, Social Work and Social
Administration, Social Sciences, or any other
related field.
Experience And Skills
- Computer literate in MS Word, Excel,
Access and Power Point, digital mapping
and/or GIS system.
- Ability to travel on short notice.
- Fluency in English (level C) including excellent writing,
Reading Skills Required. Ability To Speak, Read And
understand local Ugandan languages of the duty station is
added advantage.
