Security Assistant (Kenya)

CITAM seeks to recruit a born-again Christian who is experienced and self-motivated to fill the position of a Security Assistant, whose responsibility will be to provide support in coordinating and implementing security procedures and work instructions for effective and efficient security management, to ensure protection, security, and safety of CITAM’s employees and members/worshipers.

The position reports to the Security Supervisor.

1. Ensuring protection of CITAM property, office premises, assets, assemblies, schools and units both developed and undeveloped.
2. Liaising with law enforcement agencies on cases affecting the organization.
3. Coordinating training of staff and other stakeholders on safety, health, security awareness.
4. Drafting and forwarding investigation reports to the security supervisor.
5. Organizing the annual emergency drill and participating in the management of emergency situations.
6. Monitor the security systems on a daily basis including day and night guards, security surveillance, electronic security systems, power backups, and firefighting equipment.
7. Assisting in the training and sensitization of contracted security guards on issues relating to security threats.
8. Ensuring systematic filing and documentation of all security operation files, incident, occurrence and confidential register and reports.
9. Ensuring effective and efficient manning of CCTV and access control to the company’s premises to detect any unlawful access or interference.
10. Assist in supervising contracted security personnel and other security agencies.
11. Conducting routine physical security inspections and assessments of the assemblies, schools and units to gather intelligence on potential security threats to the assets and personnel.
12. Performing security surveillance in the assemblies, schools and units to assess/evaluate performance of contracted security service providers.
13. Attending to all operational security related incidents as directed by the security supervisor.
14. Assist in the investigation of security cases and operations.
