Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Sales Support Executive located in Nairobi County, Kenya. The Sales Support Executive will be responsible for providing sales administrative support, coordinating with the sales team, preparing sales reports, and assisting in customer inquiries and order processing. Additionally, the role involves maintaining customer records, managing sales databases, and ensuring efficient communication between departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop long-term relationships with clients, by managing and interpreting their requirements
- Managing and resolving all client complaints related to Products/inquiries/services to satisfaction
- Work with the other Senior Manager(s) and Customer Service department, drive the strategic direction of the team
- Drive Engagement
- Review customer compliance and provide insights to client managers
- Ensure there is a smooth execution of account management activities to develop customer relationships and promote retention
- Keeping customers up to date with product-related information
- Provide data and guides to help the sales team
- Make accurate, rapid cost calculations and provide customers with quotations.
- Negotiate the terms of an agreement and close sales
- Cold call to arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business
- Manage and optimize the use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems to ensure sales teams have access to current and prospective client information.
Required Qualification, Experience & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related industry preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Customer Service or relevant management experience
- Experience in the shipping or maritime industry is a plus
- Commercial knowledge
- Sales Support, Sales Administration, and Customer Service skills
- Excellent organizational and coordination abilities
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving and multitasking skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work
