
Tomato Jos is a private equity-backed, fast-growing social enterprise located in Kaduna, Nigeria, that believes in the power of local production for local consumption. Our company aims to supply 10% of the processed tomato market in Nigeria within the next 5 years. We source tomatoes from smallholder farmers within our network and make high-quality branded consumer products for Nigeria and West Africa. We operate a 500Ha commercial farm, run a successful smallholder program with over 500 farmers, and have a tomato processing facility.

Job Title: Sales Supervisor

Job Description
- Manage the sales team & all activities within assigned territory to achieve optimum coverage and distribution of TJ’s products in all the relevant outlets in an efficient & effective way, to ensure market share growth.
- Develop the capability of Sales Representatives through regular trainings, guidance, coaching & accompaniments, and spot & back checks.
- Motivate Sales Representatives to achieve sales quotas and evaluate their performance regularly.
- Manage all sales channels effectively, efficiently, and profitably.
- Achieve agreed business targets/KPIs for the area (primary & secondary sales, coverage,Call rate, productivity, Product Mix, NPD)
- Ensure adequate and prompt reporting of Sales and marketing activities in assigned territory as and when due.
- Achieve prompt reconciliation of promotions, Measuring & Evaluation (M&E) & promo-impact assessments.
- Achieve Sales drivers objectives in assigned territory- Distribution, Quality, Visibility,Pricing, Promotion, Persuasion.
- Responsible for total business target achievement in the assigned territory.
- Responsible for farm produce sales for each season.
- Recruit Distributors, manage and maintain existing distributors, as well build strong relationships with distributors, and ensure regular review of Joint Business Plans for business growth and sustainability through appropriate investment.
- Recruit and manage sub-distributors and wholesalers to achieve sales target in assigned territory.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required for the Job
Qualifications:
- BSC / HND Degree in Business Administration/Management, Marketing or related field is preferred.
- At least 4 years’ experience in a similar role with similar responsibilities in the FMCG industry.
- Good communication, coaching and people management skills.
- Proven ability to manage teams.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Cautiously optimistic, personable, and resolute.
- Excellent track records in consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets & KPIs.
- Proficiency in working with MS office and Google suite

- Conversant with the agricultural value chain.
- Fluency in Hausa will be an added advantage.

Remuneration
- Salary is commensurate to experience within the range of industry standards.
- A communication allowance, pension, and health insurance are included, and an annual performance-based bonus may be awarded at the discretion of the executive management team.
