Objective of the position:
The Solar ESS Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales and managing business development activities for solar energy storage solutions.
The role involves developing sales strategies, building relationships with key clients, identifying new business opportunities, and leading a sales team.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of solar technology, energy storage systems, and a strong background in both B2C and B2B sales, particularly in the renewable energy sector.
Requirements
- A relevant university degree.
- Proven experience (3-5 years) in Solar ESS salesmanagement, preferably within the energy storage, renewable energy, or technology sectors.
- Ability to lead, mentor and motivate a sales team to meet and exceed sales target
- Experience managing dealer networks or working within a B2B sales environment is a plus.
- Understanding of the ESS market and related technologies is highly desirable.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with dealers and internal stakeholders.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with dealers and internal stakeholders.
- Analytical skills to assess sales data and market trends.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- This position may require travel within assigned region.
- Good geographical knowledge and social fit within the region of operation Knowledge of and fluency in English and Kiswahili is an added advantage.

Objective of the position:
The ESS C & I Sales Manager is responsible for driving the sales and business development of energy storage systems (ESS) tailored for the commercial and industrial sectors. These include, hotels, tourist camps, office blocks, factories, hospitals and schools
This role requires expertise in selling large-scale energy storage solutions to businesses, industrial clients, and institutions, focusing on improving energy efficiency, reliability, and cost savings.
The C & I Sales Manager will play a key role in leading the team to identify potential customers, managing complex sales cycles, and providing strategic energy solutions through advanced ESS technology.
Requirements
- A relevant university degree.
- 5+ years of B2B sales team management experience in energy storage, commercial solar, or industrial energy management solutions.
- Proven track record of selling energy storage systems or related technologies (e.g,, solar PV, microgrids, power generation) to commercial and industrial customers.
- Deep understanding of ESS applications in C&l settings, such as demand charge management, grid services, backup power, and peak shaving.
Strong business development capabilities with a focus on closing complex, high-value deals.
Ability to engage in long sales cycles and manage relationships with C-suite executives and energy decision-makers.
Excellent negotiation and contract management skills, with experience in deal structuring for large industrial clients. - Ability to translate technical features of ESS into business value propositions that resonate with commercial and industrial stakeholders.
- Comfort in working with both technical and non-technical audiences to explain the integration of ESS with energy systems.
- Strong market analysis skills, with the ability to understand industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory impacts.
- Proven ability to develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new regions or customer segments.
