Job Overview:

The Sales Intern will assist in identifying and cultivating new sales opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and providing support throughout the sales cycle. This role will allow you to gain hands-on experience in sales, client engagement, and strategic outreach while working closely with our team to drive Pesira’s growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Prospecting and Lead Development:

  • Research and identify potential clients across the agriculture and financial sectors, focusing on those who align with Pesira’s mission.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of leads by initiating contact through digital channels, email, and direct outreach.
  • Follow up on leads, respond to inquiries, and assist in qualifying potential clients to determine their fit with our platform.

Client Relationship Building:

  • Assist the sales team in maintaining positive relationships with current clients and partners.
  • Support in creating tailored communication materials, including introductory presentations and follow-up emails, to maintain strong client engagement.
  • Contribute ideas for improving client engagement and assist in developing personalized strategies to strengthen relationships with high-priority leads.

Market Analysis and Insights Gathering:

• Conduct market research to gain a deep understanding of industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes.

  • Gather insights that will support the development of new outreach strategies and help identify high-potential clients.
  • Summarize and present research findings to assist the team in aligning sales strategies with market dynamics.

Outreach Support:

  • Participate in executing outreach campaigns across multiple channels, including social media and email marketing.
    Engage in online networking to expand Pesira’s reach and uncover partnership opportunities.
  • Track campaign effectiveness and analyze results to identify the most effective outreach techniques.

Sales Data Tracking and Reporting:

  • Collect and organize data from outreach activities to assist in evaluating sales performance.
  • Prepare weekly progress reports, outlining key metrics, client engagement, and potential sales opportunities.
  • Work with the sales team to develop action plans based on data insights and adjust strategies as needed.

Administrative and Documentation Support:

• Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and document outcomes from client interactions.
Assist in preparing sales proposals, presentations, and follow-up materials for potential clients and partners.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business Management, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
    Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with an enthusiasm for engaging new clients.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and comfort with social media platforms for professional use.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Interest in sustainable finance, agricultural development, and technology-driven solutions for smallholder farmers.
  • An understanding of sales and market research principles is a plus.
