JOB TITLE : SALES GRADUATE TRAINEE

REPORTS TO : COMMERCIAL MANAGER

JOB PURPOSE

Responsible for customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives, make dozens of calls per day as per Company requirement, working with channel partners, generating interest, qualifying prospects and closing sales, develop new leads, communicate with customers, understand their needs, close sales and meet targets.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails.
  • Understand customer needs/ requirements and offer solutions and support.
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales representatives for further development and closure.
  • Team with channel partners to build pipeline, close sales and achieve quarterly quotas.
  • Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest.
  • Maintain and expand your database of prospects within your assigned territory.
  • Presenting and delivering information to potential clients.
  • Answering potential client questions, follow-up call questions sending additional information per email.
  • Tracking weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance and sales metrics.
  • Maintaining database (Salesforce, CRM, Excel, etc.) of prospective client information.
  • Staying informed about competing products and services.
  • Upselling products and services.
  • Create personal marketing plan.
  • Develop a key account management concept for relevant customers and ensure that they are contacted on a regular basis.
  • Provide advice and guidance to customers in the correct selection of products or services for projects.
  • Assist in the process to obtain feedback on a regular basis.
    Achieve agreed targets for cold calling in order to increase revenue.
  • Assist with maintenance and further development of the sales and marketing plan.
  • Develop the customer base Contribute towards the continued development of sales/marketing literature
    Administration Plan and organise on a daily basis to ensure that all calls are properly logged ready for follow up, and that a weekly sales plan with priorities, goals and achievements can then be formulated.
  • Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest.
  • Other tasks and responsibilities assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain / Operations Management / Logistics Management (Qualification in Sales & Marketing will be an added advantage).
