Sales Executive- Hospitality

Karen Country Club, the leading Members Club in East Africa and Central Africa, is seeking to fill the position of Sales Executive.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales and revenue growth for the Club. You will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Establish parameters, quotes and negotiate prices and seal contracts.

· Responsible for developing marketing opportunities and implementing new commercial plans.

· Maintain accounts, contact, activity and business details.

· Participate in trade-shows, conventions and promotional events (if any).

· Proactive account management to ensure maximum yield in line with budget targets.

· Respond to daily requests and leads from potential clients in an agile and prompt manner as well as group quotations and various proposals.

· Participate in the preparation and follow-up of the annual budget, marketing plan and forecasts.

· Missions and projects together with Management and Residences Manager to achieve the objectives set for the sales department.

· Negotiating rates and contracts with travel agencies, companies and consortiums both directly and through Global Distributor System, etc.

· Collaboratively work with Residences Manager, and Reservations Officer.

· Proactively and efficiently plan, organize and manage the annual sales calendar and the Commercial Action Plan.

· Constant analysis of market trends and competitor activity.

· Weekly and monthly reporting of results, when required by Management.

Academic qualifications and experience

· Bachelor’s degree in business administration (Sales & Marketing) or related field.

· Minimum of 4 years of experience in a hotel setting, ideally as a Sales Executive.

Other qualifications

· Proven experience in hospitality operations.

· Revenue and yield management knowledge.

· Knowledge of legislation applicable to the hospitality industry.

· Polished personal presentation with a warm, confident, and hospitable personality.
