We are looking for 2 Sales Executives to join our team.

Role Purpose

The purpose of the role is to develop and generate business from new prospects, drive client retention to secure business using all the available tools and resources exceeding the predefined targets set by Management.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Primarily focus on the development of new freight customers.
  • Identifies business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry; researching and analyzing sales options.
  • Sells solutions by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects; recommending solutions.
  • Follow up on all requests/ quotes issued to new/ potential clients to ensure business is secured.
  • Attain the communicated monthly sales turnover.
  • Ensure 0% unresolved client queries.
  • Actively make client visits and follow up to ensure client satisfaction and secure business.
  • Maintains relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance; researching and recommending new opportunities; recommending profit and service improvements.
  • Identifies product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors.
  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and timely submission of the reports as per set timelines.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; establishing personal networks and benchmarking state-of-the-art practices.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Conduct other duties as required by business needs or as assigned

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Sales and Marketing or related course
  • 3+ years of experience in freight forwarding sales or customer service-mandatory
  • IATA, ICMS or DGR training an added advantage.
  • Good knowledge of the air and ocean freight forwarding market in Kenya and globally.
  • Ability to share your confidence, transfer your belief to the prospect and leave them reassured they’ve found the best partner for their supply chain problems.
  • Aggressive, smart, proactive, confident and competitive spirit (if you’re not first, you’re last)
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, learn and work in a fast-paced environment
  • PC proficient (Microsoft 365 preferred)
  • Strong desire to win and succeed
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
