Job Summary:
The Revenue Assurance and Internal Controls Manager is responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the company’s revenue streams while implementing effective internal control measures to safeguard assets and enhance operational efficiency. This role combines analytical oversight with compliance monitoring to mitigate financial risks and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Revenue Assurance:
– Monitor revenue processes to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
– Analyze revenue data to identify discrepancies, trends, and patterns that may indicate potential issues or opportunities for improvement.
– Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to ensure proper documentation and tracking of revenue-generating activities.
2. Internal Controls:
– Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal control frameworks that align with the company’s objectives and regulatory requirements.
– Conduct regular reviews and assessments of internal processes to identify weaknesses and recommend corrective actions.
– Design and implement controls to mitigate risks related to financial reporting, fraud, and operational inefficiencies.
3. Data Analysis and Reporting:
– Utilize data analytics tools to assess the effectiveness of revenue assurance practices and internal controls.
– Prepare and present reports to senior management concerning revenue performance, control effectiveness, and compliance status.
4. Policy Development:
– Create, update, and enforce company policies related to revenue recognition and internal controls.
– Ensure that all staff are trained on relevant policies and procedures, promoting a culture of compliance and accountability.
5. Collaboration and Communication:
– Work closely with internal audit, finance, and operational teams to ensure alignment and communication regarding controls and revenue assurance initiatives.
– Liaise with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation related to revenue processes and controls.
6. Continuous Improvement:
– Identify and implement best practices for both revenue assurance and internal control processes.
– Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to revenue recognition and internal controls.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. CPA, CMA, or similar certification is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting, finance, or internal audit, with specific experience in revenue assurance and internal controls within a manufacturing environment.
Skills: Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and financial modeling.
