We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Research Analyst

Location: Lagos

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct and support a wide range of research-related tasks, detailed data collection and analysis, and gathering of supporting literature from the internet and other sources to interpret and contextualize results.
  • Analyze internal systems and workflows to identify inefficiencies and propose strategic improvements; research industry trends and best practices to support data-driven decision-making aligned with the organization’s goals
  • Oversee the Organization’s Research Fellowship Programme, including recruitment and onboarding of fellows, supervision of research outputs, coordination of training sessions/workshops, and facilitating partnerships with legal institutions and stakeholders.
  • Manage the CEO’s various social impact research initiatives, including thematic studies on gender, conflict, human rights, and access to justice; oversee research design, stakeholder engagement, and dissemination of findings.
  • Provide sound legal advice and support on internal and external legal matters, ensuring organizational documents, contracts, and agreements comply with ethical and regulatory standards.
  • Provide high-level academic and legal research support to the CEO, including drafting reports, position papers, and strategic policy recommendations.
  • Lead coordination and oversight of the CEO’s Law Book Publications Project, including managing editorial processes, liaising with legal scholars, curating content, and ensuring timely delivery of manuscripts.
  • Act as liaison between the CEO and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication and relationship management; draft letters, formal correspondence, reports, and presentations as required.
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with key institutional partners, consultants, legal professionals, and stakeholders to advance the organization’s collaborative goals.
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing internal and external meetings, workshops, and high-level events, including legal symposiums and academic exhibitions.
  • Ensure confidentiality, accuracy, and professionalism in all research, legal, and administrative undertakings, and contribute proactively to the operational efficiency of the office of the CEO.
  • Accurately document meeting minutes and action points; track deliverables and ensure follow-up across teams.
  • Organize, catalogue, and maintain research data, reports, and official documentation in a structured and accessible manner.
  • Support the development and submission of grant proposals by conducting donor research, drafting concept notes, and maintaining a database of funding opportunities.

Job Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Law, Market research, Business Administration or any other related course
  • Minimum of 5years experience Post NYSC in Legal Research Analysis
  • Ability to deal with people with tact and diplomacy
  • Ability to perform a variety of conceptual analyses required for the formulation, administration and evaluation of projects.
  • Promote and demonstrate ethical values
  • Experience in applied research, data management / analytics will be an advantage
  • Strong legal background in organisational law and the legal system generally.
  • Rapt attention to detail, ability to take initiatives, communicate effectively both orally and written and possess strong organizational skills.
