Job Description:
As a Reporter at Africa Uncensored, you will be at the forefront of our mission to uncover and report on the most compelling stories across the continent. You will lead investigative projects, mentor junior reporters, and ensure our reporting maintains the highest standards of accuracy and impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute in-depth investigative journalism projects
- Develop and maintain a network of sources across various sectors
- Conduct thorough research and analysis to uncover hidden truths
- Write and edit high-quality news articles and reports
- Mentor and guide junior reporters to enhance their investigative skills
- Collaborate with multimedia teams to produce engaging storytelling content
- Adhere to our Editorial Policy, practice ethical journalism, and uphold the principles of accuracy, fairness, and accountability
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in investigative journalism
- Proven track record of impactful investigative stories
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Excellent writing and editing abilities
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong ethical standards and commitment to journalistic integrity
- Proficiency in digital journalism tools and multimedia storytelling
