JOB PURPOSE
ACRE is seeking an experienced Regional Manager – Field Operations to oversee business growth, client retention, and field activities in assigned regions. This role involves strategically managing field operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and alignment with organizational goals while collaborating with various departments to drive continuous improvement
Location: Mt.Kenya or Rift Valley Region.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Sales and Marketing Responsibilities
I. Grow ACRE Africa’s revenues and profitability by acquiring and retaining new customers.
II. Identify and participate in key regional agricultural activities and grow ACRE Africa’s visibility and networks for business opportunities.
III. Seek collaboration with county Governments, Aggregators, Saccos, MFI, and other regional partners.
IV. Deliver on ACRE Africa’s Key Performance Metrics, including farmers insured, Net sales, Margins, Cash flow, Customer Satisfaction, and key Sales Objectives.
V. Supervise and lead a team of insurance agents, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
VI. Train, support, and build the capacity of the field team to handle Micro and Agribusiness Insurance.
VII. Work with the business development team to conduct product feasibility analysis and generate new and renewal business to meet revenue targets.
VIII. Conduct market intelligence to understand market demand and liaise with the Actuarial team to design products that meet client market demands
Administrative Responsibilities
I. Plan and coordinate field activities to ensure timely and efficient execution.
II. Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, promoting a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
III. Establish clear lines of communication between field teams and provide regular updates on performance, challenges, and successes.
IV. Prepare weekly and monthly reports detailing regional business performance and providing feedback on market practices.
V. Support organizational reporting by providing regional data and input as required.
VI. Perform other duties as assigned from time to time
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, insurance, operations management, or any other relevant discipline is required.
- Proven track record in field operations management, focusing on agricultural field operations.
- Experience working with farmers, agricultural organizations, and government agencies in Kenya.
- Experience working with and managing field teams.
- Minimum (4) four years of relevant experience and a demonstrable track record in closing business development targets in their historical work experience. Good knowledge of the agriculture sector and risk management strategies
