Regional Account Manager.

Job: Regional Account Manager.

Function: Enterprise.

Reporting to: Regional Enterprise Manager.

Job Purpose:

Responsible for planning and developing strategies that drive the sales and revenue growth of both GMS and Fixed Data products and services, across the regions within the SME segment. The role holder is fully responsible for sales and marketing initiatives for the SME business within enterprise, ownership of sales (new business), development of acquisition initiatives, pricing and business case development, segment growth through usage and retention intervention, segment revenue & profitability plus offering market & customer insights.

Key Result Areas

  • Design and drive the implementation of acquisition & retention strategies for prospective and existing SME accounts across the assigned territory.
  • Liaise with the Regional enterprise sales teams in driving sales initiatives targeted at enhancing profitability.
  • Work with marketing teams to develop appropriate sales collaterals for enterprise products.
  • Lead all tariffs and pricing approvals.
  • Work with stakeholders to develop a competitively priced value proposition and packages that generate agreed product and service margins.
  • Ensure high level of customer and network experience for the segment.
  • End-to-end management of existing SME products and value propositions to meet targets for profitability and revenues, as agreed with the Airtel Business Director.
  • Manage each in-life product and services on a profit and loss account basis, using financial performance data to make individual product investment and withdrawal decisions, proposing, and implementing changes required to optimize performance.
  • Carry out market research.
  • Establish and continuously review SME sales management processes to support the sale of enterprise products and services.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned.

Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information technology, Computer science, or Business-related discipline.
  • CCNA certification will be an added advantage.
  • 3 years of varied experience in Sales & Marketing.
  • Relevant experience in the Telecom industry is desirable.
  • Business Acumen.
  • Excellent report writing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Creativity (out-of-the-box thinking) and Commercial Acumen.
  • Customer service orientation.
