Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Ikeja, GRA, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Duties and Responsibilities
Cost Estimation and Budgeting:
- Prepare accurate project cost estimates and budgets for materials, labor, and equipment.
Contract Management:
- Review and draft contracts, ensuring compliance with project requirements and legal standards.
Procurement:
- Source materials and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing without compromising quality.
Cost Control:
- Monitor project expenditures, identify cost variances, and implement corrective measures to maintain budget adherence.
Valuations and Payments:
- Prepare valuations for interim and final payments and manage subcontractor payments.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and provide solutions to mitigate financial and operational impacts.
Reporting:
- Prepare detailed financial reports and forecasts for stakeholders and ensure timely updates on project progress.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with architects, engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are achieved.
- Other responsibilities assigned to you.
Qualification and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction or interior design projects.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
- Familiarity with luxury interior design and high-end construction projects is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Proficient in cost management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
