Job Title: Quality Control Engineer

Role Purpose Statement:
The Quality Control Engineer is responsible for championing and enforcing Jambojet’s quality-centric
culture within the Aircraft Maintenance Organization (AMO). This role is crucial for ensuring
adherence to the Maintenance Procedures Manual (MPM) and associated regulatory standards. The
Quality Control Engineer acts as a primary defender against quality escapes and an educator on best
practices, striving for continuous improvement in maintenance operations and documentation.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
1. Provide expert guidance to Aircraft Maintenance and AMO Inventory personnel, ensuring
compliance with the MPM and Kenya Civil Aviation Regulations (KCAA).
2. Stay updated on current aviation legislation affecting aircraft continuing airworthiness.
3. Perform quality control inspections periodically to confirm compliance with relevant provisions
and standards.
4. Validate technical records packages to ensure all required checks, Airworthiness Directives, and
Service Bulletins are documented and completed.
5. Collaborate with the safety department and quality assurance personnel to investigate and
address unintentional damage, non-compliance, and regulatory or policy deviations, initiating
corrective actions as needed.
6. Participate in aircraft delivery, entry into service, and redelivery activities.
7. Provide insights on quality-related issues and assist in defect investigation and reporting.
8. Conduct spot checks on aircraft task cards and technical records for accuracy within the AMO.
9. Support the technical records team in developing corrective actions and maintaining best
practices for Aircraft Technical Records.
10. Act as a quality representative to monitor maintenance services performed at third-party facilities,
ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and contractual obligations.
11. Provide timely responses to queries related to task card descriptions and processes, consulting
with operators and the Quality Assurance Office as needed.
12. Spot check maintenance documents for completeness and accuracy.
13. Offer guidance on the language required for Maintenance Release Statements for incorporation
into Journey Logs.

Qualifications:
a) Education: Diploma or Degree in Aeronautical Engineering or a related field, with a focus on aircraft
maintenance.
b) Experience: Minimum of 5 years in QA/QC inspection or a related field, preferably within the
aviation industry.
c) Certifications: Holder of a KCAA license or equivalent certification in Aircraft Maintenance.
