Job Summary: Dei BioPharma Ltd., a Drugs and Vaccines Manufacturing Plant is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Purified Water Operator. The Purified Water Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining the purified water system used in pharmaceutical manufacturing. This includes the generation, storage, and distribution of purified water (PW) and water for injection (WFI) to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and water quality standards required for pharmaceutical production processes.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Adhere and follow the SOP’s, current Good Manufacturing Practices, and good documentation practices throughout the Water System – (Operation & Cleaning).
- To follow entry – exit procedure, personnel hygiene requirement and cleaning of change room & Water system area as per SOP.
- Daily Monitor, maintain, and operate Water Treatment Plant processes and equipment.
- Daily maintain cleanliness of system and daily records of Water Treatment Plant processes and equipment as per SOP of Water Treatment Plant & generated water parameters.
- Conducts daily rounds and inspections at the Water Treatment Plant.
- Assistance in Collection, inspection, testing, and evaluation incoming and outgoing water supplies with QC/Micro/Production/engineering supervisors.
- Receives & Maintain the inventory, and stores hazardous chemicals, related to a water treatment plant operation.
- To perform the cleaning & maintenance of area, Water Treatment Plant and accessories as per SOP.
- Filling of necessary documents, labelling, checklist, and annexure for each step of Water Treatment Plant processes.
- Regulates and records flow of water, and checks water levels in sedimentation, tanks, filters and distribution reservoir.
- Operates water system, controls required dosing at all levels and arrange the samples of water to QC/Micro lab for testing and other basic chemical and microbiological tests as SOP.
- On-line entry in all daily record accurately and in legible way.
- Fill up the data in PLC as per requirements and check it by concern supervisor.
- Intimate immediate supervisor for if any issues during operation and to follow instruction for rectification
- Ensure plant adheres to safety and environmental rules.
- Monitor and troubleshoot operating equipment
- Conceptualize, design, and implement plant improvement projects as when required.
- Identify process deviations and perform root cause/corrective action
- Perform preventive and routine maintenance
- Use scientific rules and methods to solve problems.
- Observe gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
- Replenish inventory as needed
- Follow systematic charge handover as per the shift schedule.
- Responsible for any other job assigned by reporting authority.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Education:
- Diploma in Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related technical field.
Experience:
- 2-3 years of experience in operating water purification systems, preferably in a pharmaceutical or similar regulated environment.
Job knowledge:
- Understanding of water purification processes (e.g., Reverse Osmosis, Deionization, Ultrafiltration, and Distillation).
- Knowledge of water system instrumentation and control systems.
- Familiarity with pharmacopeial water standards (USP, EP) and GMP guidelines.
- Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining water generation systems.
- Language: English level IV (Advanced knowledge) Reading/Writing/Speaking is required.
Skills and abilities:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures rigorously.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team to meet production needs.
- Excellent communication skills for reporting and coordination.
- A proactive approach to identifying and addressing system improvements.
