Emergency Medicine Kenya Foundation (EMKF) is an NGO that supports governments and emergency healthcare providers across Kenya to save lives by strengthening the emergency healthcare system through capacity building, knowledge development, advocacy and research.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Project Officer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of various projects within EMKF. This role involves coordinating with stakeholders, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope and budget, and achieving the desired outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Coordination:
- Assist in developing project plans, including defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Coordinate project activities and resources to ensure project objectives are met.
- Maintain detailed project schedules and work plans.
Implementation and Management:
- Execute project tasks according to project plans and timelines.
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies and donor requirements.
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to ensure successful completion.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess project effectiveness.
- Collect and analyse data, prepare reports, and present findings to stakeholders.
• Ensure continuous improvement through feedback and lessons learned.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Liaise with project stakeholders, including beneficiaries, partners, and donors.
- Organise and facilitate meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
- Communicate project updates and outcomes to stakeholders regularly.
Financial Management:
- Assist in budget preparation and management.
- Track project expenditures and ensure they align with the budget.
- Prepare financial reports and ensure timely disbursement of funds.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, reports, and records.
- Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the Program Manager and donors.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date project records are maintained.
