
The successful candidate will coordinate Sexual Reproductive Health & Rights (SRHR) interventions, work with the project team to support the delivery of Refugee Youth and Adolescent services, implement activities that integrate SRHR Information & services. She/he will work with SRHR stakeholders to support service delivery for young people.
Description of specific Duties / responsibilities
• Participate in planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of the SRHR activities.
• Participate in the delivery of SRHR trainings for refugee and host community adolescents and youth.
• Develop relevant training materials for different trainings on healthier lifestyles & SRHR.
• Engage refugee youth in physical activity programmes of their choices that integrate SRHR.
• Support data collection, analysis, and validation for program monitoring.
• Develop Collaborative relationships and partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders and government to address SRHR issues at the local, national and regional levels.
• Supervise Project Staff and Volunteers.
• Use social media platforms for advocacy & engaging youth on SRHR.
• Document and share best practices for SRHR.
• Develop effective monitoring and evaluation systems for SRHR projects.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
• Degree in Social Work and Social Administration, Public Health, Social Sciences, Sociology or any other related field.
• 2-3 years’ Experience in adolescent & youth programming
• Training in Sexual Reproductive Health & Rights is of added advantage
• Experience in Training/facilitation, Management and Coordination of Adolescent and Youth Health related interventions.
• Knowledge in proposal writing and resource mobilisation
• Knowledge of Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health Policies and strategies in Uganda.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently to achieve set goals.
