Major duties
1. Procurement Management: – Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies. – Manage the entire procurement process from requisition to delivery – Evaluate and select suppliers based on price, quality, and reliability
2. Supplier Relationship Management: – Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers – Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers – Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or disputes
3. Inventory Management: – Monitor inventory levels and manage stock replenishment – Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of materials
4. Cost Management: – Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities – Implement cost control measures without compromising quality
5. Compliance and Documentation: – Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records and documentation – Prepare reports on procurement activities and performance metrics – Tabulate price changes
6. Risk Management: – Monitor market price changes and follow suppliers for shortages to stock outs – Monitor seasonal items and sources with potential suppliers – Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks – Develop contingency plans for supply chain disruptions
7. Stakeholder Coordination: – Collaborate with internal departments to understand their procurement needs – Provide guidance and support on procurement best practices
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field.
• Professional certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS) is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the hardware industry.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite. Experience in using Tally ERP will be an added advantage.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of local procurement regulations. Key Requirements
