Job Title: Procurement Manager (Form M Specialist)

Job Summary:
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing the organization’s procurement operations with a specific focus on handling Form M documentation and ensuring compliance with local and international trade regulations. The role involves managing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and optimizing the procurement process to achieve cost efficiency and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee the preparation, submission, and tracking of Form M applications for importation.
· Ensure compliance with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) guidelines and other regulatory requirements.
· Liaise with customs, banks, and regulatory bodies for approval processes.
· Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals.
· Identify cost-saving opportunities and streamline procurement processes.
· Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
· Build and maintain strong vendor relationships to secure favorable terms.
· Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
· Monitor contract performance and address any deviations or issues.
· Collaborate with inventory teams to forecast demand and manage stock levels.
· Ensure the timely procurement of goods and services to avoid supply chain disruptions.
· Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and transactions.
· Prepare regular reports on procurement performance, cost analysis, and compliance metrics.
· Stay updated on changes in trade regulations and communicate their impact on procurement activities.
· Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
· Provide training and support to team members on Form M processes and compliance
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
· Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is a plus.
· Minimum of 3 –7 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on Form M and importation processes.
· Experience in industries reliant on international trade (e.g., manufacturing, retail, logistics) preferred.
· Strong knowledge of Form M procedures and import/export regulations.
· Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
· Proficient in procurement software and ERP systems.
