Your role:

Reports to: Senior Procurement Associate

The Procurement Intern will hold a key role in supporting the procurement department’s day-to-day functions. The intern will gain practical experience by helping to source products and services, assisting with supplier & vendor relationships management, and ensuring accurate record-keeping. The role involves working closely with different departments to meet their procurement needs while developing skills in market research, problem-solving, and data management. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to learn about the procurement process within a dynamic team, making it an ideal starting point for a career in supply chain management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support routine sourcing and purchasing based on price, quality, and delivery lead times.
  • Aid in preparing purchase orders and tracking order deliveries.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, distributors, and product market trends.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including product catalogs, price lists, and invoices.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to understand procurement expectations and requirements.
  • Assist in resolving issues with inbound orders, such as delays, discrepancies, and other vendor concerns.
  • Support vendor & supplier relationship management.
  • Monitor and update procurement databases and systems as assigned.
  • Assist in preparing procurement reports and analyses.

The profile we’re likely to hire:

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
