About the Role:
We seek an individual who is proactive and detail-oriented for the Procurement and Supply Chain Management Officer role. This position involves planning, coordinating, and overseeing all activities related to sourcing, procurement, and logistics of goods and services, developing and enforcing procurement policies, stock taking and inventory management as well as analyzing market trends to ensure efficient and cost-effective procurement practices aligned with our strategic goals.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and ensure adherence to procurement policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and procedures.
• Manage procurement processes and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage stock effectively.
• Coordinate transportation and logistics to ensure efficient delivery of goods and materials to the site.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers.
• Draft and review procurement contracts and agreements while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Analyze market trends to identify potential suppliers and cost-saving opportunities.
• Analyze market trends and demand patterns to develop demand forecasts and plan inventory accordingly.
• Oversee the sourcing and procurement of goods and services.
• Conduct supplier evaluations and audits to ensure quality standards are met.
• Implement and maintain an efficient procurement tracking system.
• Coordinate with internal departments to understand and meet procurement needs.
• Assess and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain.
• Develop and manage a comprehensive supplier database.
• Prepare and manage budgets for procurement activities.
• Develop and maintain procurement records and reports.
• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in procurement processes.
• Provide training and support to staff on procurement policies and procedures.
• Ensure integrity and ethical standards are upheld in all procurement activities.
• Manage the Inventory software
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing & Supplies Management.
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
• Good knowledge of supplier or third-party management software and experience working with an inventory management software and systems.
• Registered member of the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) in good standing.
