Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate Premier League Match Analyst to join our team as an intern. If you have a love for football and a keen eye for detail, this is the perfect opportunity to apply your knowledge and passion while gaining valuable experience.
As a Match Analysis Writer, your role will involve analyzing individual player performances for every Premier League game week. You will be responsible for providing insightful and detailed written analyses using various sources, including:
- Full match footage
- “Match of the Day” program coverage
- Match highlights from official Premier League club YouTube channels
Your analysis will help guide football fans and Fantasy Premier League (FPL) players in making informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Watch and analyze full Premier League matches, identifying key player performances
- Review highlights and key moments from Match of the Day and club YouTube channels
- Write detailed player performance reports, focusing on individual contributions each game week
- Provide recommendations based on analysis for FPL players, with emphasis on form, fixtures, and tactical roles
Requirements:
- Passion for football and in-depth knowledge of the Premier League
- Regularly watch Premier League matches and keep up with the latest Fantasy Football trends along with the wider sport
- 3+ years of experience playing Fantasy Premier League (FPL) and an understanding of FPL scoring
- Currently pursuing or completed a diploma/degree in Journalism, Sports Science, Communication, or a related field
- Equivalent experience in sports analysis, football commentary, or sports writing may be considered in place of formal education
- Coursework or experience in content creation, digital media, or sports management is a plus
- Strong written communication skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- 10,000 KES monthly payment with scope for increased remuneration based on performance
