
Job description
MP Shah Hospital M.P Shah Hospital is looking to recruit a professional and evidence-driven person for a position as the PR & Media Officer.
Reporting to the Brand & Marketing Manager, the position holder is responsible for promoting, managing and maintaining the publics and employee’s view of the organization across different media outlets, including print, online and broadcast media channels.
Responsibility
1. Write and edit articles for the hospital newsletter, blogs, and other external publications, highlighting events and campaigns carried out by the hospital.
2. Capture photography and videography for all hospital events, both on-site and off-site.
3. Serve as the point of contact for all media inquiries, coordinate interviews, provide media information upon request, and handle media placements, including but not limited to OOH, TV, and radio.
4. Develop talking points for upcoming interviews, assist in refining the hospital representative’s responses, and ensure they are camera-ready.
5. Distribute media releases, coordinate interviews, and organize press conferences.
6. Compile and organize press kits, and write blogs related to the hospital’s activities.
7. Assist in building and maintaining employee morale by keeping staff informed on company policies, initiatives, and changes.
8. Support in conducting public relations risk assessments and developing crisis communication strategies to mitigate potential risks.
9. Monitor public perception and responses to evaluate the effectiveness of the hospital’s image-building efforts.
Key Performance Indicators
1. Track the quantity and quality of media coverage and mentions.
2. Publication of the hospital newsletter.
3. Development of a blog post for the hospital website.
4. Development of patient testimonials.
5. Report on media monitoring, perception and attitude towards the hospital.
Qualifications
1. Degree or diploma in media and communication/ film and photography, or any other related fields.
2. Minimum 2 years’ experience working in PR / media and communication / film and photography fields.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
4. In-depth knowledge of the industry and its current events.
5. The ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines.
6. Excellent time management and organization.
