We seek a meticulous and detail oriented Pharmaceutical Technician to join our growing telemedicine platform.
In this vital role, you will be the bridge between our customers and their medication ensuring efficient and accurate processing of e-prescriptions, orders, and payments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive e-prescriptions from customers via our telemedicine platform
- Verify prescription accuracy and compliance with legal regulations
- Generate invoices for medication costs and send them to customers
- Aggregate orders from multiple customers and compile them into a single request for the drug distributor.
- Process payments for medication from customers and forward the payment to the drug distributor
- Coordinating medication distribution with Community Health Educators and Micro-Enterprises
- Coordinating couriering of medication to various parts of the country
- Communicate effectively with customers and the drug distributor to resolve any queries
- Maintain accurate records of all e-prescriptions, orders, invoices, and payments
- Ensure compliance with all relevant pharmaceutical regulations and standards
- Collecting and recording accurate patients records using technology to maintain inventory and place orders, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Interacting with customers and answering their questions.
- Performing regularly scheduled inventory counts on specific medications, stocking inventory, labelling and checking for expired medications.
- Preparing and dispensing new prescriptions of new and refill requests for patients
- Repackaging and labelling of medications
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology or Clinical Medicine or any other relevant fields
- Must be a registered pharmacy technician with a valid practising license
- 1-2 years of working experience in a busy hospital in the same role
