Role Overview
- The People and Culture Manager leads HR initiatives to foster a high-performance workplace culture within a dynamic fintech environment.
- This role is central to developing HR policies, driving employee engagement, and aligning talent management strategies with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and update comprehensive HR policies that support company goals and comply with labor laws.
- Align HR initiatives with long-term business strategies, focusing on talent retention and engagement.
- Design and implement performance management systems that encourage growth and accountability.
- Develop robust internal communication channels to keep employees informed and aligned with company values.
- Organize internal events, workshops, and training sessions to strengthen corporate culture.
- Manage employee relations proactively, resolving conflicts in a constructive manner.
- Ensure all HR practices comply with Nigerian labor laws and industry best practices.
- Establish and maintain a transparent process for addressing employee concerns.
- Design and implement performance improvement plans when necessary.
- Lead end-to-end recruitment processes to attract and retain top-tier talent.
- Develop initiatives to position the company as an employer of choice in the fintech market.
- Create structured onboarding programs that ensure smooth integration of new hires.
- Design and execute initiatives (e.g., team-building, wellness programs) that enhance employee satisfaction.
- Oversee performance evaluations, career progression plans, and tailored training programs.
- Implement regular feedback cycles to gauge employee sentiment and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, HND or a related field; additional HR certifications (CIPM, SHRM, HRCI) is a plus.
- At least 4 years of experience in HR roles, ideally within the fintech sector.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on conflict resolution and team collaboration.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to analyze HR metrics and convert data insights into actionable strategies.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing successful HR programs.
- Expertise in recruitment, talent management, and employee engagement strategies.
- Proficient in HR information systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven ability to lead HR initiatives and manage diverse teams.
